Gum Contouring
The gum line of front teeth plays an important role in achieving a beautiful smile and enhancing the overall appearance of the mouth. The gum line may not always be symmetrical and even. Excess gum tissue and erratic eruption of teeth can make teeth appear shorter than they really are and cause the gum line to cover the top third of the teeth resulting in a gummy smile.
Most people with gum discrepancies feel self-conscious and embarrassed in social situations. A procedure called gum contouring (or lift) can fix gummy smiles and uneven gum tissue to make teeth look more proportioned and well-shaped.
This is a very easy and simple procedure that will have your smile looking better in minutes. The teeth and the gums are anaesthetized, the excess gum tissue is trimmed with a laser exposing the full length of the teeth and making the gum-line appear even. There is little or no bleeding during the procedure and healing time is very minimal, perhaps a day or two.
Gum contouring generates new attractive smiles with well-contoured, healthy teeth and even gum lines.
