Dental Hygiene
A good dental hygiene is essential for keeping your mouth healthy and clean and preventing the formation of plaque that builds up on the hard surfaces of the teeth, leading to dental decay and gum disease. By carefully and frequently brushing your teeth and using dental floss you can prevent accumulation of plaque on the teeth and maintain a healthy looking and odorless mouth.
Having your teeth professionally cleaned at least twice per year is also very important for your oral health. Professional cleaning includes tooth scaling, tooth polishing, and, if too much plaque has formed, debridement. This is usually followed by a fluoride treatment for children and adults. Regular dental check ups at intervals recommended by your dentist are also essential in detecting the build up of plaque and preventing calculus.
Proper oral hygiene and regular professional check ups will help you maintain more than just teeth and gums – they will help you improve the quality of your life by preserving your natural teeth and giving you a healthy, confident smile.
